The Italian company Newfren s.r.l. produces brake shoes, brake pads, brake discs, clutch plates and centrifugal clutch shoes.
It began exporting internationally in the mid-1950s; its factory is in Turin and operates in line with European environmental and safety regulations. NEWFREN products are made to ISO 9002 specifications and are offered at economical prices.

Our production processes lead the way, certified by industry bodies and compliant with global standards. A production plant covering over 7,000 square metres located in Rovereto, completely renovated in 2024, houses all the production lines for manufacturing our products, working in close collaboration with the engineering and research and development departments located in the close building.
New investments have enhanced the level of automation of all production lines and research and development capabilities with regard to new materials, new products and transformation processes.

The plant is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

NEWFREN Quality
As of November 2016, the ECE R90-02 standard stipulates the homologation requirement for replacement brake pads for newly registered vehicles.
Newfren took an active part in the drafting of the new regulation by participating in the working group whose representatives worked within the European economic commission for the United Nations.
The construction of regulations that protect consumer safety is a step forward in the sector, in which Newfren believes deeply.
All homologated products are recognizable by the homologation code that will be marked on the products and on packaging.
Newfren's range of brake pads, unique for the presence of the colored Functional Layer, has been fully homologated for all compounds intended for road use.
