Michelin was founded in 1889 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world, with a motorcycle racing history stretching from the early Grands Prix to MotoGP.

Beyond tyres, the name also appears on Aramid-reinforced scooter drive belts and on accessories for the car and the motorcycle.
